Hoang-Yen Nguyen is a lecturer in the Faculty of Oriental Studies, and a member of the Office of Research and Project Management, Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam. She graduated from National Cheng-Kung University, Taiwan, with PhD and Masters Degrees in Chinese Literature in 2015. Her fields of interest is comparative literature and culture between Vietnam and China; Vietnamese, Chinese and Vietnamese literature in classical Chinese. Her current research regards the literary and cultural exchanges between Vietnam and China during the 18th and 19th centuries, and focuses on the writings and documents of Vietnamese envoys. She also researches about the Vietnamese Chinese in contemporary Vietnam.
